Wetter Sant Pere Pescador is a municipality within the comarca of Alt Empord, Girona, Catalonia, Spain. It’s located on the north-eastern coast of the Iberian Peninsula, within the Gulf of Roses. The municipality consists of the city of Sant Pere Pescador, the village of Empuriabrava, and the hamlet of Mas Pinell.
The title Wetter Sant Pere Pescador comes from the Latin phrases “Vicus Veteris”, that means “previous city”. The city was based within the tenth century by fishermen from Empries. Within the thirteenth century, it turned a royal city and was granted a constitution by King Peter III of Aragon. The city was destroyed by a hearth in 1428 however was rebuilt quickly after.
